SelectSumCopy      ( Excel 2000, Excel XP and  Excel 2003 )

This small AddIn puts a new button in the context menu. Look at the picture.

You can copy the sum of a selected area as value with that.
You don't need the detour via a formula.

Now you can insert this value in a new cell.
